VEGGIE PEEL CHIPS

Ever wonder what to do with your leftover veggie peels? Reduce your food waste and join Educator Ella as we make quick, tasty and eco-friendly Veggie Peel Chips! 🥔🥕😋


Ingredients:


🌱Leftover vegetable peels - we used beet and potato peels

🌱Olive oil - ideally organic

🌱Spices of choice - we used garlic powder, cumin, salt and pepper


Method:


🌱Save the peels from root veggies like potatoes, beets, carrots, yams and more - feel free to experiment with different varieties!

🌱Wash your vegetable peels

🌱Pat the vegetable peels dry with a tea towel

🌱Preheat oven to 200°C

🌱Transfer the vegetable peels to a bowl

🌱Drizzle with organic olive oil

🌱Season with your spices of choice

🌱Mix everything together and transfer to a oven tray

🌱Bake in the pre-heated oven for 10-12 minutes or until crispy, turning halfway through
