CRISPY ROASTED SQUASH SEEDS

Welcome back to our Zero Food Waste Series, where we share how you can save your dollars and the planet! 🌎


Did you know that you can eat squash seeds? Join Educator Lilli as we use butternut squash seeds to reduce our food waste and create a fiber fueled tasty snack! 👩🏾‍🍳


Ingredients:


🌱Seeds from one large squash

🌱1 Tsp oil

🌱Seasoning of your choice


Methods:


🌱Scoop out your seeds

🌱Give them a rinse

🌱Pat them dry

🌱Pop them in the oven at 325 degrees celsius for about 10 minutes. Give the seeds a stir then pop them back in for another 10 minutes

🌱Enjoy as a crunchy snack, garnish soups or add to salads!
