1 15oz can chickpeas
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1 tsp paprika (optional)
2 tsp nutritional yeast (optional)
Method:
Open, drain and rinse chickpeas.
Add all ingredients to a large bowl and stir until all the chickpeas are coated.
Add to an air fryer or oven sheet pan and layer evenly
Air fryer at 390°F for 12-15 minutes or roast in an oven at 425°F for 30 minutes.
Around halfway through, stir the chickpeas to ensure they are getting evenly roasted.
The goal is to have them crunchy but not burnt, feel free to try them as you go!
Store in an airtight container at room temperature (not in the fridge) for up to one week.
Enjoy as a quick snack or add a flavourful crunch to salads and bowls! 😋
Bonus tip: Freeze the aquafaba (chickpea water) from the can to use as a binder when baking. Aquafaba recipe coming soon! What can’t chickpeas do?! 😍
