CHEESE BALL

Planet-positive Holiday Menu Series: Holiday Cheese Ball (episode 4) ✨

We’re so excited to announce a delicious collaboration with @milaplantbased! 💚

Together we’ve created a creamy, savoury and sustainable Holiday Cheese Ball appetizer. Made with cashews, tofu, and festive spices, topped with dried fruit for a stunning finish. Perfect with crackers, veggies, or fruit! 😋

Ingredients:

🌱1 cup/150 g raw cashews

🌱 175g firm tofu

🌱2 tbsp Sauerkraut

🌱4 garlic cloves

🌱4 tbsp refined coconut oil

🌱1 tbsp miso paste

🌱1/2 tsp Salt

🌱1/2 tsp smoked paprika

🌱1/2 tsp mustard powder

🌱 2 tsp onion powder

🌱1 cup of chopped dried fruit of your choice

Instructions:

🌱Soak cashews in water overnight or in hot water for 1 hour.

🌱Drain cashews from water and place into food processor or blender with all other ingredients, excluding the dried fruit.

🌱Process until smooth.

🌱Line a bowl or mold of your choice with plastic wrap.

🌱Scoop blended cheese into mold and cover with edges of plastic wrap.

🌱Allow to chill in fridge for a minimum of 4 hours. For best flavour, allow to chill overnight.

🌱1 hour prior to serving, remove from fridge and allow to soften slightly at room temperature.

🌱Once exterior of cheese has softened, remove from plastic wrap, place on serving platter of choice, and push choice of dried fruit into the exterior of the cheese ball. Cheese ball may need slight reshaping after removing from the plastic wrap.

🌱Serve with crackers, vegetables, bread, or fruit!
